Who we are

Downingtown Balvihar (DBV) is a non-profit (with IRS 501(3)C certification) organization offering educational/cultural services to children 3 years and above.  Our members typically share Indian American heritage with a desire to expose their children to Indian culture. We understand that our culture is very special and attractive, where each state has distinct culture and it’s our duty to teach our children the traditions which express Indian culture. The Indian traditions, followed from very primeval times, are the heritage that should be maintained and passed on to new generations. At DBV we try to nurture children with the Indian values and language through fun filled activities. 

Mission

To provide children with instructional as well as experience based learning of Indian Culture, values, scriptures, languages, traditions, festivals and our history, kindness and leadership skills to foster their development as capable global citizens.

VISION

Promote, instill, and foster Indian culture in children of our community to build character, self-esteem and leadership to raise them as responsible and compassionate citizens.
