Who we are

Downingtown Balvihar (DBV) is a volunteer driven, non-profit (With IRS 501C3 certification) organization in West Chester, PA. We offer classroom and experience-based learning of Indian Culture, values, languages, traditions, festivals and our history for children of our community to help raise them as strong, and good citizens of future generation,

Our classes run every Sunday (September through May) from 2:30PM to 4:30PM in West Chester, PA

Our curriculum spans from the age of 3 (pre-K) through the end of High School (Grade 12)

What We Offer

For DBV graduates who are motivated to further explore, develop, and integrate a cultural relevance to their modern lives, we offer a robust Youth Group program (DBVYG).  Under the guidance of dedicated mentors, DBVYG members put cultural values into action through volunteer work and community involvement.  They strengthen their cultural identity through discussions, debate, and teaching.
